Like scores of her avid fans, I was eagerly waiting for Anweshaa's maiden programme in the USA.
She came , she performed and she went back. I saw all her videos of her performance in San Jose. What struck me immediately was that she looked tired and listless with her once cherubic face that oozed out exhuberance , showing tiredness and a type of listlessness which is a rare thing (I have never seen her tired or worried).
Just watch her message to her fans and you would notice "Exhaustion and Listlessness"
But these are not excuses for underpar performance. She has set a level of singing which is supreme in our minds and anything less than that , is unacceptable by her fans. Just watch the videos.

What I can surmise from all the videos is that she has been over burdened both by her busy schedule during the last two months and also I think she is a "victim of her own genius". Pressure to perform best is telling upon this little girl and she performed below par (from her set standard) .
I had talked to her as well as Kushal da,her father, when I had talked to them last year precisely about such burnouts in my mind. I had told her to give more time to being a child and not to lose happiness of free childhood. I think that she needs to recoup and recover her own old self. Give more time to just Riyaz and nothing else for a period of one year or so. In this respect, Abrokanti has rightly withdrawn from the stage with such a thing in mind.
She is leaving on a tour of Newzealand shortly. I hope she does not carry her baggage of tiredness over there . We are expecting her to be that"Old time Anweshaa" who took our breath away whenever she sang.

We should not judge talent like annu only by 2-3 performances.As we all know it was her first ever overseas trip.she is not aware to cope up with jet lag.she reached there on 1st july started rehearsing from 2nd july..If u see all the videos u can easily find out even shaan was looking tired and he dint at all performed well.We should not create this kind of topic only to continue our blog writing.No doubt anu dint perform her best but it does not mean she is not able to perform well..we are all aware of her singing caliber.if sachin tendulkar scored 7 zeroes in a row shud we doubt on his caliber?"FORM IS TEMPORARY CLASS IS PERMANENT".

its just a bad patch of her career due to excessive work pressure.i m sure she will definitely come back with a bang.

Nobody , atleast at my level wants to create a topic to write the blog. This blog is about our own heroes and heroines, our idols . You are no bigger fan of Anweshaa than me or any other fan. Her interests are as dear to our hearts as they are to your heart. So nobody should project themselves as a bigger well wisheror bigger fan.
There is a difference between a Friend and a sycophant.
A true friend never hesitates even criticizing the person dear to him or her.
A friend has the right to correct unlike a syncophant, who always lavishes undue and unwanted praises and is blind to a fault. This is very dangerous thing to do when we have a towering child prodigy like Anweshaa Dutta Gupta whose name I take with great love and reverance. I am not a syncophant and neither anyone should be.
I have not criticized her performance in my post. I have tried to show a warning light for dangers that lie ahead if complacency sets in due to overwork.
This time, it was a programme hosted by Bengali Association . But public in other paid programmes is not forgiving. They want what they have paid for and there are no excuses allowed for below par performances.
Coming to the purpose of this blog, it is all about and only about prodigies, their performances and like.
You must remember that first impression is the last impression. In showbiz, there are no excuses. If our Anweshaa was tired (she is still a kid), then people should have given her ample time to recover. Her trip could have started about a week before the programme. Saibaba telefilms people should have been made to realize that Anweshaa was already over worked while shooting for Star Jalsha programme and had no time to rest.
The fault lies with us (all fans)too. We expect her to perform best at all occassions , every time and at all costs. We forget that she is just a kid and she has her own limitations of strength. Let us not make a mistake of over working her.Not atleast for some more time.
Remember Michael Jackson? He has stated that he was punished as a child for performing non stop sometimes even when he was tired. This left deep scars within his psyche.
Thank God that Anweshaa's parents are the most loving people . But I cannot say that for Saibaba and Star channel. For them, it is the money that counts. I do not think that they are concerned with performer's tiredness due to overwork.
It is the duty of her parents to take this up with the organizers and remember to give this prodigy ample time to be fit and rearing to conquer the hearts with her singing.
